Scientists have discovered Cthulhu

Cthulhu

A recent article published in the scientific journal PLOS ONE indicates that scientists found Cthulhu inside termites. Moreover, scientists explained that the “cthulhs” are actually very useful for termites, because living in the digestive tract help digest harmful tree insects, which they feed on.

Before you start screaming that this is outrageous, unscientific and generally surprised at how the fictional character of science fiction writer Howard Lovecraft turned out to be real, and even exists in some termites there, we hasten to reassure you - in fact, there is really no Cthulhu no.

Scientists just found two new types of microbes, one of which it was decided to call “Cthulhu macrofasciculumque” because of its distant resemblance to an octopus. The second type of microbe found was called "Cthylla microfasciculumque"

Well, it should be clarified that the scientists themselves admitted that they named their find in such a way as to a little more interest in the scientific discovery.
