China is developing a reusable spaceship for flights to the moon

Chief Designer of the Bureau of Manned Spacecrafts Zhang Binan told the edition of "Keji Zhibao" that his team is currently developing a four-seater ship capable of delivering a crew to the moon. The engineer stressed that the first consideration is a reusable version, suitable for subsequent launches.

In an interview with reporters, he explained that modern spacecraft, delivering people into orbit, are designed for a maximum of six people. The Chinese are going to achieve the same results, and in the future to surpass them.

China's Moon exploration program consists of several stages. The first stage includes the companion's flight, then landing on its surface, and after that a return to Earth will follow. China still has a lot of time, the leaders of the manned space program of the PRC do not plan to send people to the moon before 2036, so the developers of the reusable spacecraft still have time to prepare properly.

Zhang Yulin, deputy head of China's manned space program, previously reported to journalists that his specialists and engineers from other research institutes would need about 15-20 years to make people land on the moon. He stressed that he made such a forecast, based on the current state of the Chinese space industry.
