Scientists have discovered Cthulhu

An implant has been created that stops the development of cancer.

American scientists have created an implant that can catch and stop the spread of cancer cells in the body. Experiments in mice have shown that a device that functions on the sponge principle detects cancer cells before they move from the primary focus to other organs.

Researchers at the University of Michigan have developed a cancer cell collector that appears in the bloodstream in the early stages of the disease. The study showed an 88 percent slowdown in the spread of cancer cells in the lungs compared with rodents who did not receive a new implant.

The results of the study were published in the journal Nature Communications. Its authors hope to create an implantable material that can be placed under the skin of patients suffering from breast cancer. This will allow doctors to detect the disease in its early stages, to control and prevent relapses, thereby increasing the effectiveness of treatment. Scientists say the technology also applies to women at high risk of developing the disease.

According to experts, cancer cells do not spread by chance. They are usually sent to specific areas of the body. Researchers have taken advantage of this by creating a kind of bait that traps cancer cells, eliminating the threat of damage to vital organs.

The implant used immune cells as bait. Once trapped, the cancer cells stopped growing. At the same time, scientists did not find any damage to the surrounding tissues.

In the future, the authors plan to test their technology in humans. They also hope to apply it in the treatment of other malignant tumors, including thyroid cancer and prostate cancer.

Scientists promise to open up new opportunities for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer as soon as they get a full understanding of why cancer cells tend to specific areas of the body.

Previously, other researchers have learned to turn cancer cells into healthy ones.
