Cefaly is based on electrical neurostimulation. The device incorporates a special electrode, powered by two finger-type batteries, which stimulates the trigeminal nerve directly through the skin, helping the patient to reduce the frequency of migraine attacks to a minimum.
The device has two modes of operation. During a migraine attack, you can turn on high-frequency stimulation, which will quickly reduce pain and help you get back to normal. The second mode is aimed at preventive measures to reduce the frequency of attacks and is a low-frequency stimulation of the nerves. This mode should be used regularly for 20 minutes a day to improve the quality of your life.
Research conducted by the company that created the device, from 2011 to the current time, showed that people feel lightness and inspiration during treatment. At the same time, the dose of electromagnetic waves received from the device is less than with ordinary TV viewing.
