The development of modern unmanned aerial vehicles has enabled people to remotely explore places on Earth that were previously difficult and dangerous to reach. These places include the Alaskan ice caves, which are difficult for a person to study due to the narrow and difficult passages.

To study the ice caves, the American studio Firefight Films used the flying drone DJI Phantom with the GoPro Hero3 + camera attached to it. The drone was lowered to the bottom of one of the deepest caves of the Mendenhall Glacier in Alaska. It took four days to shoot a small video.

The only problem for exploring caves with the help of a drone was a poor connection with the control panel. The caves jammed the signal, several times the connection was interrupted and the drone could be lost.

You can see the video below with frames of ice caves that were previously difficult to reach for humans.
