Microsoft supported 4 Russian startups

Майкрософт вручил гранты четырем российским стартапам

Microsoft has awarded grants in amounts from 30,000 to 50,000 dollars to four Russian startups.

The projects that received grants were AdWired - $ 50,000, as well as Minutta, WinkCam and Kid Erudite - $ 30,000 each, said Nikolai Pryanishnikov, president of Microsoft in Russia.

The grant holders are represented not only by the vast "technological" geography of our country, but also by various areas of design development. So, AdWired from Moscow is a developer of a mobile advertising platform. Members of the Minutta project, representing the city of Orel, have developed a service for creating thematic slide shows. Novosibirsk project WinkCam introduced motion recognition technology for mobile and wearable devices. Well, again, the representative of the capital - the Moscow project Kid Erudite - offers a mobile program for teaching children.

By the way, AdWired and Minutta are residents of the API Moscow business incubator, according to digit.ru. Therefore, Microsoft is one of the first partners of the Russian incubator among global IT companies.

It is also worth noting that the Seed Finance Fund Microsoft began work in Russia back in 2010 in order to support start-ups in the field of high technologies. To date, $ 1.36 million has already received grants for 35 Russian startups. In the future, Microsoft plans to support only 100 Russian startups over the course of 10 years.
