The company will invest 1.2 trillion won in a research and development bureau, which will appear in southern Seoul. The bureau will begin its work in June next year and will provide work to 10,000 designers, strategists and developers.
The remaining two Samsung units will be located in the cities of Phenthek and Hwason. They will study flat panels and microcircuits.
“The results of research in the short term are difficult to sense. But without them, the company will not be able to develop products that carry value for the buyer. Progress in areas such as mobile computing and medicine has been made possible thanks to an increase in research and development costs, ”says a Samsung researcher.
